The Rose Garden

The Rose Garden

Even in the smallest of gardens or in a balcony, very often the first flower we plant at home is a rose. We cannot miss roses in our garden. It has contrasting meanings, it has always been a symbol of completeness, dear to the female goddesses, it represents eternal life, the changing of seasons and the continuation of life.

We cannot be without roses; rounded, the symbol of perfection, with its four petals that symbolize the four elements of the cosmos (earth, water, fire, air); in the wind rose there are the four cardinal points. It is the symbol of Paradise and secrecy, white is the symbol of the Virgin Mary, red represents martyrdom or the passion of love. The world of roses is vast and includes around one hundred and fifty species, divided in several varieties, hybrids and cultivars having their origin in Asia and Europe.
