On 18th of May at Park of Villa Trecci, feast our eyes on beauty

This pandemic has turned the whole world upside down, all of a sudden like a huge wave, it has taught us something, because so much pain would not have any sense if it didn’t make every one of us reflect deeply.

Certainly to my way of looking at things, by observing nature during this period, with the absence of man, nature has had made an extraordinary recovery. The sky has shown us stars that we have never seen before, the flowers are vibrantly blooming, we have an increase in the number of insects, the bees are again pollinating the flowers, and in the seas, with their crystal clear waters fishes can be seen by the naked eye. Many other observations make us realize that the world can live very happily without human beings, we are simply guests and we need to behave as such.

It’s impossible to carry on the way we have lived up to now; it will lead us to a disaster. We must go back to nature. What does this mean?  We need to look at our daily lives, remembering that we are human beings who have an intimate and profound need of  beauty.  It is our sacrosanct duty to preserve this beauty with small actions every day.  It’s not true that the eco system will be defended by the major powers. Every day,  by changing our daily habits, we can make a small contribution,  by avoiding plastic materials, turning off the lights when  we don’t need them,  turning off the tap, water does not last forever, keeping clean the meadows where we walk, take the car only  when it is necessary and not for just  buying a litre of milk .

Coming back home, stop for a moment to take in a beautiful sunset, because there won’t always be the possibility for a similar spectacle, enjoy each and every single moment of beauty that nature offers us, and let it penetrate into our heart and soul.

We have created a pace of life,  that has removed us  from the simple life,  we need to return to the parks, to the fields, trees and flowers  that will teach us how to follow the seasons, that  invites us to do physical activities, and feast our eyes and spirits on beauty, giving us the strength to face  troubles with confidence and certainty , removing the  fear that lives in our minds, because Mother nature is  there waiting for us with open arms ready to give us a cuddle  and wipe away our tears, turning them into a smile on our face.
